Consumers identify evening markets as breather

Working class residents of Wuse area of the FCT says evening market is better for them. Adducing for this, they say evening market afford them opportunity to buy goods at a cheaper rate.
Most of the respondents, majority of whom are workers, attributed the discounted sales to the competition obtainable during the afterhours.
Our correspondent paid a visit to the Wuse evening market which usually starts at the close of the main Wuse market and discovered a human traffic of sales. Some of the buyers that spoke to Metro said that they preferred to do their shopping in the evenings because of the variety and the discounts.
Preye Adams a shop owner in Wuse market and an ardent customer of the evening market, a trader in the Wuse market said she preferred to do her shopping in the evenings because it gave her opportunity to wider range of cloths at cheaper rates "I think the discount is because of the nature of the market, everyone is on their feet and trying to woo buyers to them. Besides most of the afterhours traders don't own a shop in the Wuse market".
The evening markets which usually takes off from five in the evening displays a have a wide range of items in display some of which includes books, clothes, belts amongst others. The traders on the other hand identified it as an opportunity to display their products at the front of the acclaimed prestigious Wuse market as some of them claimed they did not have money to rent stores inside the market.
The evening market is characterized with high traffic of activities as traders and consumers rush to get into business; the traders struggle to get a place to stand while the consumers rush from one stand to the other trying to purchase items before it gets dark.
A trader that spoke on the basis of anonymity to our correspondent said "i normally hawk around the market in the day time because I cannot afford to pay for a shop but my I sell more goods in the evening in front of the market" he also explained on how they acquire a place as no one owns a personal stand. "I have to out early in order to get a conspicuous spot to put my goods".
